3 WEEKS OLD

We once again squished these guys in the bed, but we had to SQUISH. And once again, they LOVED it. They love to feel warm and cozy. They went straight to sleep so we could take our pictures this morning. We put them in order from puppy 1 to 7. But this week they all buried their faces into the bed at different times, and refused to give me a shot of all their cute faces together.

Here is Copper. He was very content and is such a lovely boy. We are loving their blue eyes!

Here is puppy 2,3, and 4. (Sparky, Lola, and Lilac) they were kissing.

Jerry is a very relaxed boy today. So sweet!

Puppy 5. (The kids named this guy Moose this morning. Him and Rocky are the biggest pups.) This guy is also super sweet. In fact I was thinking this morning, all these puppies have such great personalities. They are all pretty relaxed and love to be held. Although, they really don't have a choice with all the cuddles they receive. They will be very well socialized by the time you get to take your puppies home.

Here is Boy 6. AKA: Rocky. He is getting his first nail Trim. Their nails are making scars on their poor mother. He was very agreeable to this, but some of the others were not.

The two girls were not happy about their nail trim. They needed extra attention after their turn.

That is a lot of mouths to feed. Sure glad I only had one baby at a time.

Lady looking for sympathy. She is such a good mom, but at this age she starts feeling a little desperate when they all start nursing. Between the pups nails, and their newly forming teeth, I don't think feeding her pups is very relaxing.

I am working today, so will most likely not get pictures done of the pups until tomorrow. Have a good Sunday! 

The pups are so fun to watch now. They are trying so hard to walk and bark. Barking throws them completely off balance when up on all fours, and they fall. Very clumsy and determined makes for great entertainment. 

2 Weeks Old

Here is my little up date for the week. Jerry and Puppy 2 remain our smallest, and puppy 5 is in the running for biggest with puppy 6. The girls are both up there 2. Puppy 7 is our middle of the road pup. Puppy 1 and 2 both have their eyes half open, even though they are the smallest, and the others are still refusing to see what the world looks like. But I imagine they will all be opening in the next few days.

They are all attempting to get up on their feet and starting to get around pretty good. It's still pretty quiet with lots of eating and sleeping as they grow. 2 more weeks and they will be attempting to run.

ONE WEEK OLD

The Puppies are growing and developing at a healthy rate. I haven't noticed the difference, as I see them a few times a day. But my husband came with us tonight to visit the puppies, and he thinks they are about twice the size already. The picture above was a miracle picture. It is so hard to get the puppies to settle without climbing all over each other in a dog pile. Little Jerry on the side, would NOT show his face for me, no matter how many times I re-positioned him. He is a snuggler. Also, if you notice their noses, they are beginning to turn color. The pups are mostly born with little to no pigment in their noses. Most of them will be completely brown in the next few weeks.
