First solid food

The puppies took no time at all to discover the joy of solid food. They are eating  puppy food that I blended into a powder and then soaked with water. It took a few of them a minute to catch on, and others dove in, literally! The puppies are now just over 4 pounds. Just to give you some perspective, when they were born, they were all around the 1 pound mark. So they have quadrupled in size. They are entering into my favorite stage as they are learning to play fight, and lick each other.

Lark and Candy were our fastest and smartest eaters for today. 

You cant really tell whats happening in this picture. But we put Lolly back in the bed once she was done, and the puppies that had not eaten yet started licking her face clean.

Here's how the puppies felt after they were done their first meal.  They are LOVING their new beds. Lets hope they know not to pee on them! Or they will sadly loose them for another few days.
